Giants/Immortals declared war on Rats in the Hats and sieged Mar Shral. A call was sent out publicizing the circumstances of the siege so that many would hopefully join the defense.
Two siegestones were placed. The first was in a Hill Giants spawn to utilize the new spawn scaling mechanic to help defend. The second was placed in an Alfar “village” overlooking the Hill Giants – a walled set of structures with a single entrance. In this way, the Giants party had a strong positional and tactical advantage at the siege stones.
Giants were significantly outnumbered since many decided to assist Rats in the Hats. This, in addition to the positional advantages provided by the siege locales, made for some epic fights.
At the end of the day, the defenders won a hard-fought victory against a tenacious attacking force.
